Title: x58a-ud5 1gbps network?

hey guys i hv purchased x58a-ud5...i wanna know how can i get 1gbps network speed i mean lan card speed currently iam getting 100mbps

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

The port should be autosensing and so if it is possible it will run at the rated speed. Make sure your cables are up to the job.

thanks for the reply...which would be the best cable for this purpose i am currently using cat5 cable

Unless you have a lot of electrical interference around cat5E should be fine, if you do then try cat6.

For me i have some compatibility problems

Exemple : run fine with all my hub's  / motherboards , little Synology server 1GBits but not with my 2 * Gigabit Switch TEG-S8 TrendNet why ?

That is mysterious !!
