sorry if this was already posted and answered. i read the manual for my mobo and just wanted to confirm before buying another sata hard drive. i have a ga-ex58-ud5 ( not " A " ) with the latest bios updated by gigabyte.us and i was wondering with the latest bios can i only read 1.5tb or can i read 2 tb drive?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
You should be safe enough with a 2 GB drive as this is the top limit for BIOS. Any bigger than that and you have to be looking at UEFI.

As it so happens today Gigabyte have just released a UEFI/BIOS for al the new motherboards on the productiion line and they will be available for updating recent motherboards too like the X58 so you will be able to access zettabytes.
