I recently bought an GA-P55-USB3 and it worked perfectly well for a time, the Network worked and the hardrive worked (mostly)
My system hardlocked in windows once a week or so the hardrives start to endlessly power up and down and the system get unresponsive and when I reset the system the bios can´t find the hardrives. I had to shut down the sytem for about 15 minutes before it works again for roughly a week when it repeats. Also the network seem to reset way more than my previous computer.
Anyway today the intel controller and the network died on me. I just can´t find them in bios and windows, ironicly the gigabyte hdcontroller still works and will still boot.
I have tried resetting the bios(Cmos jumper) and using different PSU, the hardrives works in my old system.
So has anyone ever heard anything like this? I think im going to RMA the damn thing.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
Have you checked the tempreature of the southbridge chip and made sure the heatsink is fastened securely still ?
-
Well yes temps was 30C I believe and the heatsink quite fastned perhaps even glued? Anyway I had the RMA accepted by my retailer so I will see how this goes.
