Title: GA-P67A-UD7: no boot
Post by: Walo on January 29, 2011, 01:45:50 pm
Hello

My problem is that when i press the power button both the MD1 led and MD2 led turn on and the system won't boot and fans remain off. I tried clearing the CMOS with the onboard button and by removing the internal battery but it doesn't work. I tried rotating one RAM stick but it doesnt work either. The Debug LED shows nothing and I don't have a motherboard speaker, so I don't know if the motherboard is sending any beep codes.

The system was booting previously but sometimes at boot it would turn off and on again if the xmp profile1 option was selected on the BIOS. When entering the BIOS after turning on again a message would appear indicating an overclocking failure. The memory model is G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL.

There's a pic of it.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Firstly don't try and use the XMP setting unless the memory was specifically made for the P67 boards. It will overvoltage by default.

Secondly have you made sure that all power cables are connected securely including the 12v by the CPU?

What PSU are you  powering it with?

Have you installed the meory in DDR3_1 and DDR3_3 ?
