Title: GA-H55N- USB3 fan spins up briefly and randomly
Post by: binge on February 07, 2011, 08:42:47 pm
I just got this board and the CPU fan will spin up to full RPMs for about a second and then spin back down, randomly, i got the latest bios and it didt fix it.

Anyone got this problem? Its annoying as hell  :(

Hi

I would suggest checking the temperatures especially when the fan is cycling like that. Also make sure that the heatsink is securely fastened down.

thx for the quick reply  :)
The fan spin up totally random at idle or very low work load and the temp is very low (around 30). heatsink is secure so i guess is it a bug of the bios?

Quite possibly then. Have you tried a different BIOS version ?

Make sure that you use QFlash not @BIOS for the update as it is much safer.
