Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Firstly I would recommend that you reduce your memory speed to 1333 MHz to be safe with your CPU.

Are you trying to say that you only have one memory module ?

What make and model is it ?

thanks i reduced my memory speed to 1333 MHz,
pc  is running slowly and during installation windows or any program that takes a lot of time and when i see performance in the task manager in "CPU Usage" = 1% or 2% A maximum 7%
I ask Is there something i should do in setup mother board or in installation motherboard or any hardware not compatible may be cause slow.
I think the motherboard does not benefit from the resources of a full processor

That's what my guess would be that the processor is only running on a single core. You should be able to confirm that in Task Manager. I am not sure how you enable the others  if that is so but I do know it's not hard. I am sure absic or one of the AMD guys will be able to help with that.

Hi there,

Not sure exactly what's going on here but Windows shouldn't take 2 hours to install.
Could you post back with full system specs as trying to help with the information you have provided so far, is a little difficult?
What make and model hard drive are you using? What type of DVD/CD drive are you using, SATA or IDE?
Are you running a Floppy Drive?
Have you made any changes to BIOS?

Hi there,

Sometimes there can be problems when you use a "Green" Hard drive as the BOOT device and if possible this would be the first item to change.

In BIOS under the heading "Standard CMOS Features" disable the Floppy Drive support as this can sometimes cause problems too.

Whilst in BIOS check under the "Advanced BIOS features" and make sure that the CPU Unlock is set to Disabled and that the CPU Core Control is set to AUTO. Also check that HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability is set to disabled. If you want to you can also set the Full Screen Logo show to disabled. This will stop the Gigabyte Logo from appearing at POST and will let you see what is happening during this process.

If you haven't already done so put your HDD onto one of the "Blue" SATA3 ports and your DVD onto one of the White SATA2 ports. Also make sure that your RAM Module is in the first RAM Slot on the motherboard DDR3_1

Hi there,

being honest, I don't think it will solve the problem.
The only thing is, using the 64 Bit version of Windows 7 you will be able to access all of your RAM as 32 Bit only uses a total of 4 Gig of RAM or less.

If you decided to reinstall using the 64 Bit version of windows then you might gain a little by setting the SATA3 controller to AHCI rather than IDE but the same would apply if you did the same with the 32 bit version.

The only real problem with switching to the 64 bit version is if you use any older software or hardware as sometimes they won't work on a 64 bit OS. Before switching it is best to check that you can get the necessary drivers for your other hardware, printer, wireless card etc. (the motherboard will support 64 Bit OS without a problem) and also check that any programmes you are using will install OK (most do but some don't).

I installed on a very similar setup to yours: AMD 6X processor, 4GB RAM (two sticks, not one), 320GB SATA 2 hard drive.

Also had the default BIOS version -- FA, I think.

Took about a half hour to install Win7 32-bit -- nowhere near as long as yours.  And, my drive is a WD "green" drive also, so I don't think that is the problem in itself.

But, unless the drive is brand new, I would suspect drive problems in  it taking that long to install.

After install, noticed that the memory was set to 1066, so I upped it to 1333.

Downloaded a Gadget that shows the usage of the individual cores.  Shows all six cores as being used.  You might look into that.

This is what we said at the beginning. The Greens are no good for boot drives.

Hi,

pleased you got it sorted. Whilst the "Green" HDD's are good value for storage solutions they can cause real problems as BOOT drives, as you have discovered.

Hopefully, everything will now be OK for you now.
