Title: GA-H55M-UD2H - does the hdmi connection work on initial boot
Post by: zafod37 on February 13, 2011, 08:47:51 pm
I am about to start my first build using the following parts:

Gigabyte SKT-1156 GA-H55M-UD2H Motherboard
i3-540 Dual core Processor 3.06GHz, 4mb cache, socket 1156
2x2gb (4gb) Corsair 1333MHz CL9 DDR3 memory
samsung HD105sl 1tb sata 3.5in internal HD
Samsung SH-B083L 8x Blu-Ray Reader & Lightscribe DVDRW Writer
Coolermaster RS600 AMBAD3 Silent Pro M PSU
Zalman 27 plus Midi tower atx case
Win 7 64bit

I intend to install a graphics card at a later date probably a Saphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5 but will have to wait for a wee while.

My question is this. Can I use my sony lcdtv as a monitor for first boot up if i run an hdmi cable from the MB port to my tv? Or will i need to use a dedicated monitor?

Thats all the questions I have for now but i hope i can pick your brains in the near future once the build begins.

Mark

Hi Mark and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

If you are using the onboard graphics and have the HDMI port connected it will automatically use that over other options during POST onwards.

Hope that helps. ;)
