Title: Core Droop still in F8b on GA-P67A-UD4
Post by: Dropbear67 on February 14, 2011, 02:51:31 am
Hi All.

Been waiting for this to be addressed for a while now, but maybe it's just me.

I have 1.270 set as Core Volts in BIOS, and HW Monitor shows this at idle in Windows nicely. As soon as I start to prime, Core drops to 1.25 and sits there.. It was even worse when i was trying to get 4.5Ghz stable @ 1.32V -Core would drop to around 1.28-1.29.

I have Load Line calibration set to "Enable"

is there anything else I should be setting to minimise this droop? Any other bios parameter than helps control it?

Hi

No I don't know of anything else that you can do to help this issue that seems to affect quite a lot of users (maybe the rest just haven't noticed). I think it is something that needs addressing in a future BIOS release.

Have you told GGTS about it as the more people complain the more notice is taken.

Ya, it's just BIOS issues, I'm sure they will eventually get this sorted out - they always do.
