I just took delivery of my P67A-UD3. It was shipped with P3 BIOS so I knew I was going to have to flash it to run my 2600K CPU.
If I try to use qflash to flash it to P5, P6A or P6, the flashing application reports "invalid BIOS image". P4 works, which is lucky as that's the version that works with this CPU, but I thought it'd be a good idea to go to the latest version in one hit.
Why are P5, P6A and P6 all being rejected by qflash, yet P4 flashed fine?

Hi
There was a known bug with the BIOS and the supplied version of @BIOS that came with the motherboards. This has been noted on the website at the BIOS dowloads section.
What you need to do is download the latest version of @BIOS and then use it to update the BIOS on the motherboard for the first time. After that you will be able to use the recommended method with QFlash.

Ah OK DM. Thanks for that.
I don't usually like uning OS based utils for flashing BIOS, but ... if needs must. :)
I went straight to F6 using @BIOS. It works fine.

I agree and normally you wouldn't catch me promoting it's use! However there wasn't much option in this case and there is also the Backup BIOS in case of trouble.

So Qflash will work from now on? Cool.

Yes it should be fine from here on. ;)
