Title: Next Revision P67 Motherboards
Post by: Jivenjune on February 20, 2011, 08:26:53 am
Greetings,

I was curious if there are going to be any other changes (aside from the replacement of the chipset) in the next revision of the P67 motherboards. For example, are any layout or features going to be changed? I'm particularly interested in the UD7 motherboard.

Thanks,
Mike-

Hi

I haven't heard any news on any changes  so far but to be honest we are not high up in the "need to know" chain, as we are not employed by Gigabyte and are merely other users like yourself. As far as I know it is only an alteration to the Cougar Point chip that is being made and the boards will remain the same. I expect there will be improvements to the BIOS etc though.

Fantastic. Thank you for the quick response. Oh, I hope they at least fix the "Power" button being upside down...

I hadn't noticed the inverted Power switch until you said about it  ;D I expect that our language is "all Chinese" to whoever is fitting the switches and they don't realise their mistake.

I'm hoping that the chipset revision will be noticeable improvement.  I'm considering buying a p67ud4 in the near future.

From the information I have had it is only a small fix and I think that is all Intel is doing at this point in time. Maybe later there will be other alterations.

Haha, I didn't even notice until I saw your post!

You can remove the switch and put the button on there the correct way if you want, just release the silver latches on the side underneath and then pull up once you are sure both sides are loose.   The button will snap up, and snap back down once you got to put it back together.
