Title: GA-X58A-UD3R(rev 2.0): S3 results in improper shut down.
Post by: epicfail2012 on February 28, 2011, 02:18:02 am
My BIOS is set at S3 for the suspend mode. I'm currently using the most recent BIOS (FF). When I click SLEEP my PC shuts down completely and when restarting with power button I have to select "Start Windows Normally" because the system was shut down improperly.

My System Specs:
GA-X58A-UD3R(rev 2.0)
Intel i7-950
12GB of Kingston HyperX triple channel RAM @1800MHz
MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB
XFX Black Edition 750w modular PSU
Corsair H70
Crucial 128GB SSD
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
ASUS optical drive

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I would suggest  trying the BIOS version prior to the one you are running now and if that doesn't help you can always revert to the latest version again.
