RAID 1+0 (RAID 10) on a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UDH3 can be done on the AMD SB850. Assuming you using Windows 7 and a separate boot drive.
Install Windows 7 with SATA Ports set as RAID. Boot hard drive on SATA Port 0 configured in the RAID Utility as Non-RAID hard drive. Install Windows 7 before creating your RAID 10 array.

Basically you will have configured two RAID 1 mirror arrays then make a single RAID 0 array with the first two RAID 1 arrays. You can use AMD RAIDXpert.

Go ahead and download the SB8XX RAID driver for Windows 7. Run the .exe and extract the files to a folder of your choice. Cancel the Catalyst Installer. Look thru the folders for the apps folder. The RAIDXpert software is there.
