Title: Bad X58A UD5 Rev1
Post by: richardd43 on April 10, 2011, 03:15:05 am
This was an interesting board.

First I had a heck of a time getting raid0 to work

Second there was very little volumn

Third the USB 3 ports did not work.

Plus there were other little things annoying about the board.

After weeks of working on it, clearing bios, reflashing bios, trying different drives I gave up.

Took it to the store where I bought it and had the techs there check it.

The store replaced the board with a REV2 for me, they could not even get the os to load correctly.

I installed the new board and can say I am once again a Gigabyte fan.

The raid loaded instantly, USB3 works and the volumn about blew me out of the chair.

All the little annoying things disappeared also.

Awesome man, glad to hear your new board works much better!

Sounds like your last one was a dud from the get-go, sorry to hear!
