Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

The first thing I would do is to make sure that you have the latest BIOS installed. Make sure that you use the latest version of @BIOS if the QFlash Utility doesn't work for you.

Are you running the latest chipset and LAN drivers ?

Have you any idea what makes Windows freeze up ?

hmm sry about previous post. My bios is still F2, and none of the drivers are upto date as mentioned on site. I installed drivers from dvd provided.

Should i upgrade bios first?

First update the BIOS then to F3 and then download and install the latest drivers from  the website. It is always best to do this anyway rather than use the drivers on the supplied CD as they are bound to be out of date. ;)

The next thing I would want to check is the memory. This will take a while but please just follow these instructions exactly.

I would suggest that you download and run the latest version of  Memtest86+ to check your RAM first.

Memtest86+        http://www.memtest.org/

Insert one stick of memory in slot 1 and run Memtest on it for at least 10 complete loops/cycles and if there are no errors then swap it over with the next one and continue untill you have checked all  modules.

If you have any errors the module is faulty.

If you have any faulty modules you will have to return the whole kit as they are matched.

Post back when you have done that with the results.

I already ran that test yesterday for 5 hours no errors. Again now i ran it for 1 cycle no errors reported my ram is http://www.corsair.com/memory/xms-classic/xms3-ddr3-memory/cmx4gx3m1a1600c9.html
Also in bios it is showing my ram is running at 1333 instead of 1600. As per the site the voltage should be 1.65v ? In bios it is 1.5v

After searching the forums These were the step i followed.
1.ran memtest
2.changed power profile to high performance in windows disabled sleep, hibernation etc

Im using the blue sata ports 6gb/s(1 for Seagate HDD 500gb 7200rpm and other for LG DVD writer) . Are there any specific drivers should i install for this?.( No raid )

You are using the best ports the SATA3 6GB/s. The only drivers that need to be installed for these are the Intel chipset drivers.

You can soon change the settings for the memory in the BIOS to 1.65v(1.66v) and 1333 speed and the timings of 9-9-9-24  manually.
