Title: GTX 580 driver
Post by: enguerran on April 18, 2011, 11:17:00 pm
Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum.

I have a GTX 580 (GV-N580UD-15I) and am wondering if I should only use the drivers provided by Gigabyte or can I also use those directly from nVidia web site ?
In other words, do Gigabyte personalize their drivers for their cards or do they use nVidia ones ?

Cheers,
Enguerran

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Unless you have one of the OCed cards then the nVidia drivers should, work fine. ;)

Thanks for the quick answer!

Mine is sligthly OCed:

Anyway, I'm staying with Gigabyte drivers for the moment.

Cheers

Yes I would say that is the favourite thing to do then.  :)

Why is this? Are the drivers under the gb download section the same as on nvidia site?  They look the same for this card.

I think most of them are the same apart from some may be tweaked for the various OC cards etc.
