I connected a Verbatim (store n go) USSB3.0 storage device to the mb's USSB3.0 port and the transfer rates is around 25 MB/s which is more like USB2.0 performance. I've installed the latest drivers from Gigabyte's site, check all the BIOS settings..........

Have you made sure that USB3 is enabled in the BIOS. I am not sure if it is the same setup as the Intel platform but on there we have a problem of the shared bandwidth between the USB3 and the SATA3.

USB 3.0 is enabled in BIOS. I am copying a lot of smaller files and I'm getting a sligthly slower transfer speed as when connected to a USB2.0 port. I've aslo logged this with Gigabyte's support site, but the response seems to be very slow...............

Yes I am afraid it is often not speedy and being holiday time probably worse than normal. They will get back to you though.
