Title: GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 - which USB port to use the USB keyboard?
Post by: hlkc on April 28, 2011, 04:03:59 am
GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 with i3 2100 2nd generation user here.

Can anyone give me some hints how to wake up this system from sleep via a USB keyboard?

S3 already set up in BIOS but it seems to me the USB keyboard disable until Windows 7 kick in. Did I use the wrong USB port? Which USB port should I use?

Also, my previous MB I can use the same USB keyboard during the boot up and BIOS screen. But this MB I am not able to use the USB keyboard until after Windows 7 boot up.

Am I just using the wrong USB input port.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

In the BIOS you need to have Legacy USB Devices enabled to be able to use the keyboard before Windows loads the drivers.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

That is the first thing I checked and I ensure it is enable before and now. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

What you need to do is go into the BIOS main page and press the CTRL + F1 key. There is a new hidden setting called Wake from USB Device S3

Thanks. But when I press CTRL + F1 together , nothing came up and if I only press F1, I got a General Help screen and just tell me all the purpose of the keys from arrows to F12.

Except Onboard LAN Boot ROM and Erp are disable, just about all functions are enable.

Please advice, much appreciated!

I have just fired up my P67 and tried the hot key CTRL+F1 and nothing happens there either. It must only be available on certain BIOSes.

I don't know to be honest as it is not something that I use. I will try and set it up to see but right at the moment I am absolutely snowed under. :-\
