Title: Help with P67 UD5 looping on POST
Post by: tetro on May 02, 2011, 06:09:31 pm
Hello.

Iv just bought a new rig and i decided to go with the gigabyte motherboard.
Everything was mounted but when i turn on the computer it shows the gigabyte logo and i cant even enter the bios before it restarts again.
Anyone have a solution to said problem?

My mods:
Corsair Vengance 8GB
Corsair Obsedian 800D
Gigabyte P67 UD5
Corsair HX1000w
Core Intel i-7 2600k
Asus 6970 DC II
Corsair H70 Cpu cooler

Iv checked that there is a solid conection with the cooler and CPU.
I have tried with both stock and h70 cooler.
Iv doubled check that the case connections to the Front_header is correct.

Appriciate any answer as i rly want my system to start running..

regards

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

It could be more or less anything that is causing the problem at this point. We shall have to try and narrow it down to start with. I think the best thing is to remove the motherboard from the case along with the PSU, CPU/hetsink/fan, one memory module in the first slot and buzzer. Sit it all on top of the motherboard box if posssible and be careful of static electricity.

When ready try booting and see what beep codes it makes. Post back with them.

Will do.
Just noticed something. It only goes into the loop when i try to enter the BIOS.
When i dont try to enter the bios it passes it.

Not sure if that might help narrow it down?

Probably not a lot of help at this stage. Just something to bear in mind.

Flashed the bios.

Not sure but everything is workin now, so i think this must have been an uncooperative bios ver javascript:void(0);

Thnx for all the responses.

Rly appreciate it.
