Load: 55-60 (all temps in Celcius)
I´ve only been tampering with bus speed and memory multiplier so far..(everything else is on auto) want help to step it up

How many batteries are in your power supply.....(Photo)......only joking!..........what's the wattage?
Aussie Allan
Edit! to the best of my knowledge and feeds from several sources......Quote: "Only about 1 in 9 i7-950s have the ability of going beyond 4.2-4.3"
I too still have high hopes of better clocks .......My CPU shows similar idle/load temps as you but going beyond 4.2 stable is proving very time consuming.

As has already been mentioned by Allan trying to get to 5.0 or even close is probably nearly impossible on water. You would need to use a subzero setup like LN2 or something really. The chances of your chip being special is not high and I wouldn't fancy your chances a lot. :-\

Here's an excellent read to get you started that I used....really excellent reading at the very least.....You, like Myself will have to become complacent with taking some setting out of AUTO.......with two Video cards, PQI/VVT is one you'll read about in this article that helped me no end.

This is just one that's out there........Google is your best Friend!

thanks for the reading.
been able to get it stable at 4.1 tested with IBT etc. topped it at 4.6 but get bsod´s when running IBT. thinking it must be the voltages.. sooo many different settings(to many) to play with..
one thing that bugs me is the memory controller. at 4.1 I´m obliged to use 2:8 multiplier on them, using app only 1550mhz on my 1866sticks... a bit ruff setting but dont know any other setting cause the 950 is locked att X23 multiplier..
any thoughts?
Seen many whos reporting stable klocks just below 5Ghz with simpler cooling than me, so with my temps (max 65 100% load with IBT at maximum 8 threads) it should be able to go record high, need help to finetune it ;D

Not a lot of help on its own I am afraid.

If you truly want help from moderators down to newbies like myself , ... you have to supply requested information.......current BIOS page settings of your machine hold a wealth of information for people in the know on this forum..........type set or Jpeg,...your choice!
