hello, I'm very disappointed by G41MT-S2 :'(
Yesterday I have swapped the motherboard,
from Asus P5KPL SE to GIGABYTE G41MT-S2
On Asus motherboard I have used for more than one year an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 rev C0 @ 3600Mhz with 2x2Gb DDR2 Kingston(entry level) 667Mhz / 5-5-5-15 at @1000Mhz / 4-4-4-12
Now I have replaced the motherboard and the DDR2 with
GIGABYTE G41MT-S2
and
2x2GB A-Data DDR3 PC3-10700H 1333G 8-8-8-24 ("Gaming" series)
I can't touch almost nothing in the M.I.T. bios section :'(
because I can only "overclock" the FSB up to 342Mhz :-\ and the DDR3 at the their default speed of 1333
nothing works,
raising / lowering the voltages and multipliers does nothing
the motherboard simply does not post and after some seconds goes to reboot and load the default bios profile ! I have tried to raise 1 Mhz to 1 Mhz rebooting every time, the motherboard works up to 342 Mhz FSB, after this does not post and there are no way raising / lowering CPU Termination or CPU Vcore ???
I have to change motherboard after 12 hours ? ???
-
no hints ? :(
someone have the same motherboard and think that mine can be a broken piece of hardware ? :'(

I don't have much experience of this board but have you made sure that the memory you have installed is on the QVL and compatible ?
Have you cleared the CMOS before loading the Optimised BIOS Default settiings ?
-
many thanks for your reply :)
yes :(
I tried all the "options" and I also removed the CMOS battery.
The DDr3 is sold as 9-9-9-24 1333 / 8-8-8-24 1333 at 1.8 volt
and I can use them at 8-8-8-24 1.8v with the maximum "standard" memory speed tweak ("extreme")
also can use "R.G.B. Robust Graphics Booster @ "Turbo"
the problem is the FSB, if I load the "optimized values" and try to raise the FSB nothing works once I go over 344Mhz :'(
I have tried step by step hundred of times to get a post
raising / lowering the Vcore / CPU Termination and leaving all the others parameters at "normal" and also at "auto"
the only one "success" was at 344Mhz 1.450 Vcore :o with 1.400 CPU termination
If I try the same CPU on some of the my other PC (e.g. Asus P5E with X38 chipset ) can get the 400x9 with 1.316 Vcore (@ 43C temp )
p.s.
I does not underrstand the CPU temp value reported by the G41MT-S2
in the bios I can see 21C, but this is not the CPU temp, as a matter of the fact CPUID Hardware Monitor report :

p.p.s.
the same CPU worked flawless @ 400x9 with 667 cheap Kingston DDR2 o.c. @ 4-4-4-12 1000Mhz on 50€ Asus P5KPL SE ( G31 chipset ) motherboard.
A "short circuit" ( a screw has fallen under the motherboard!!) has damaged the SATA controller, so I wanted to try some cheap Gigabyte mb with DDR3
