Hi . I'm a old Intel user and just switched over to AMD.  Is there a way to enable AHCI even after windows (Vista 64) is installed like the registery hack on a intel?  If I enable it in the bios it just gets hung up in a loop of continous reboots.
So figure it the same as Intel and must be installed at installation of windows or some type of a hack. thanks

Well I went ahead and formatted and tried it again and loaded the AMD compatible AHCI driver but still ends up with same results...If I activate it in BIOS it just gets hung up in a loop during windows start up....
Guess its just broken?

You will probably have to do a fresh install of windows. If you have Windows installed on normal mode then change it to AHCI it will bluescreen. If you do a fresh install it should be okay
