Title: Strange noises form the GTX 580 SOC

Hi, I have a problem with the SOC 580 GTX (GV-N580SO-15I). Well, when playing from the graphic cards come with a loud squeaking / hissing noises, especially in the case of games - Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age 2, The Witcher. The sound of it after a while it becomes quieter, but before that is really loud. During normal operation on the computer does not come with the card it sounds. Is this normal for this card, or proves that he has a defect. The sound is certainly comes with the card, because it appeared after replacing the video card. I use nvidia drivers 270.61. Sorry from my english.

Hi and welcome to the GIgabyte Forum.

The obvious culprit would be the fan but I expect that it is not that but some coil whine or similar noise that only happens when the card is stressed under a heavy load. If that is the case chances are only an RMA will fix it.

No, certainly not the reason there are fans, because they can be heard in the background (are getting louder as the temperature rises card, but this is normal). Those squeaking / hissing noises are already appearing in the start menu, games, and their intensity is high right away. I report this  to service.
