Hello All,
I have been trying to install the following drivers onto my GA-790FXTA-UD5 motherboard, the drivers are as follows:
NEC USB 3.0
Realtak audio driver
Network driver
I have gone into device manager and uninstalled the driver and then done the same in Add/Remove programs but still not joy. I have updated drivers before with no problems so I am at a loss as why I cannot do it this time. I would be grateful if somebody give explain the steps they have taken.
The PC is functioning fine, is it a case of " if it aint broke, don't try to fix it"?!!! :)
I have a AMD 1090T, 8Gb of Corsair Phenom memory and Win 7 64 Ulitmate
Thanks,
Teknology9

Hi there,
Are the devices shown as working under Windows Device Manager?
If yes, why do you feel the drivers haven't been installed?
Whenever I install drivers I download the latest version from the Gigabyte website. Click here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3258&dl=1#dl
I only download the ones I actually need by Right clicking and saving them to my desktop. Each of the drivers come in a self-extracting folder that, when you double click will Auto run. However, I tend to use WinRar to extract the files to a folder and then run the update from there as it gives me a little more control.
You can safely re-run the install on any of these drivers, if they have been installed properly it will make no difference and if they haven't been installed properly running them this way should make sure that they are.

Hello absic, thanks for the reply.
Device Manager does show that the devices are working, its just that I want to update the drivers with those on the Gigabyte website for my mobo. When I download them and and right click on them to extract the files nothing happens afterwards. I have done this in safe mode, uninstalled the diver from Device Manager and Add/Remove programs but still no joy. I would appreciate it if you could list the steps which you take.
Thanks,
Teknology9 :)

The drivers download as a self extracting file.I generally use two methods.
The first is to let the software extract itself to a temporary folder on your desktop (you have to tell the software where to extract to). When the files have finished extracting look in the folder for the setup.exe file. There you go.
The other method needs a third party software such as winrar or peazip and is a slight modification of absic's method. Copy the downloaded file to a temporary folder on your desktop. Right click the file, choose 'extract here' and when done, again look for the setup.exe file.
