i have a h55m-ud2h-f9 and tried to install a solid state drive it tells me it only support hard drives and cdroms. does it support a ssd

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

There shouldn't be any problem with running a SSD on your motherboard. Has the motherboard/SSD been used before ?

A few more details on how it is all set up would help.
