System....
Motherboard: X58A-UD9
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD5970 4GB memory.
CPU: Intel Core i7 980X.
Memory: Corsair 12GB TR3X6G1600C8D
PSU: Thermaltake 1200w Toughpower {Cable Management}.
Swiftech: Cooling System

Hi All

I'm having trouble flashing bios from f4 to new f5 using Q-flash system is telling me that file is incorrect size file size f5 2m file size f4 1m do you have to set something in the bios first to flash thanks for your help. ???

Hi

First I would suggest just making sure that the BIOS file that you are trying to use is for your revision of motherboard as some boards only have the smaller BIOS chip and so it wouldn't be physically possible to use the larger file. If you are sure that it is correct you might have to update using FlashSPI. The file is included in the download of the BIOS file.

Ok Thanks for the info think i will leave well alone F5 is a Beta Bios.

It is only advisable to update your BIOS if either there is a problem that it will fix or gives you added features. As yours is working alright I would agree and just stay where you are for now.
