Hello everyone. I'd like to ask if anyone knows if this m/b supports the athlon II x3 460 cpu , as I can't find ANY motherboard at all that says so at their cpu compatibility list
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
as these processors are pretty new the CPU support list has probably not been updated to reflect them which is why you can't find a motherboard that will support them.
The best advice I can offer is that you contact Tech Support here: http://ggts.gigabyte.com/tech.asp?ClassID=2&Country=Greece&SourceWeb=B2C and ask them as they shouldl know which boards will support the CPU.

Thank you for your answer. I have already send an inquiry to that address and am waiting for an answer (hopefully they'll answer). Just thought I'd ask just in case. Though I'd expect they'd have a piece at their hands long before they came out

Yes, I know what you mean and keeping such lists up-to-date before the CPU's hit the market, would be really helpful but we have come across similar issues when AMD releases new/updated CPU's.
It could take Gigabyte several days to respond so you will need to be a little bit patient and they may also have to test the combination of CPU and Motherboard before they can reply.

Although it might not apply in this case sometimes things like that cannot be disclosed until after the NDA passes. Even details regarding support for the CPU etc comes under the NDA.

I don't think that NDA will apply here DM as the processors are already on the shelves. ;)

That is why I said at the start about it not necessarilly being the case this time, but of course it could have been in force until recently.
