Title: GA-965P-DS3 RAID confusion
Post by: suppa on September 18, 2009, 02:19:37 am
Hello.

I have GA-965P-DS3 rev 1.0 with latest bios and raid drivers. I would like to create a raid 0 volume using 2 1TB drives. Should I use the Windows XP Disk Management to create raid, the utility i downloaded from the site, or the utility that shows up right after the gigabyte welcome screen as you turn on the computer?

I noticed that i can only format to allocation size 64k, yet i would prefer 128k.

Please give me some advice.

Thanks.

Hi

Just use the manual :):
http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/Support/Motherboard/Manual_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=Manual&FileID=17335
it describes in details how to do it in chapter: 4-1-4 Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s) (Controller: GIGABYTE SATA2)

So you need to use utility that shows up right after the gigabyte welcome screen
