Title: problem with X58 ud7 rev1.
Post by: nikoue on June 28, 2011, 10:24:12 am
A suddenly problem happens yesterday in my computer with this motherboard. It doesn't open. After removing the components i found that the problem was the revo drive. I have three machines with revo and this is the only that i never have a problem for a wear now. When i place the revo i cant even get into the BIOS. I remove it and i placed again but now i hear two sort beep from the motherbord and the computer doesn't  open. I remove the revo again but the two beeps remaining and i cant open the BIOS. Is this a motherboard problem?  the bios is F7

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I think a good place to start would be a list of your hardware that is connected to the motherboard.

I would start by suggesting you do an extended clear of the CMOS. Please follow these instructions exactly:

Remove the power cable from the mains supply and then press the power switch on the case for a few seconds just to drain any residual energy in the PSU capacitors.

Once done remove the motherboard battery for at least one hour before replacing it.

Next plug back into the mains supply and boot.

You will now need to enter the BIOS by pressing DEL and load Optimised BIOS Defaults.

Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self like disabling the floppy drive, disabling the full screen logo and making the HDD the primary boot device and then press F10 to save and exit.
