Title: MA78GM-UD2H - Does BIOS Need update for AM3 Processor?

I have just bought one of these boards together with an AM3 processor.
Does the BIOS need updating before an AM3 processor can be used?
I cannot get any output and there are no error beeps and I am wondering if this is the problem.

No is apparently AM3 ready. Have you tried clearing the CMOS, running with one stick of RAM etc?
