Title: H67A-UD3H-B3 + Core i5 2500K overclocking
Post by: manny1980 on July 11, 2011, 04:40:26 pm
Hi guys, this is my first post on the site. I've never overclocked any pcs. I would just like to know if it is possible to overclock the i5 2500K on the H67A-UD3A-B3 board? How can I do it, is it easy, what steps should I take. I already have an aftermarket cooler on. Any help you guys could give would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I am afraid it is not posible to overclock on that motherboard. You should have bought the P67 range if you wanted to overclock as the CPU is supportive. The H67 motherboards were for the integrated graphics which the P67 boards didn't have.

Even though the Processor is multiplier unlocked,  that sucks. If I push up the multiplier in the BIOS, will that make a difference at all

Yes that's right. You needed to buy a P67 motherboard if you wanted to overclcock.
