Title: How to change PWN value on gigabyte 770TD3L
Post by: mapel on July 29, 2011, 10:29:51 pm
Hi all ...

770TD3L   is great board .. im running P2 955 at 3.7 ghz with 2x2 gig ram 1333, ati Saphire HD6870, 600 W power

my  cpu fan is set to PWn in bios .. but default PWN values are so agresive thay run my fan so loud and fast for idle mabe like 80% to 100% ..

thats soo loud .. i manage to set values in ET6 but my sistem go lagy and hawe spikes and render in games ...

so any whay i can set costum PWM values in bios (mabe some beta bios) .. i dont like the sense that some software manage my bios settings sry but that couse my sistem to go slow and got spikes and stuff ...

tnx in advance ...

Why dont u just get a slipstream 500rpm 120mm fan like mine?
Its so quiet that u ll hear nothing :)

You could try changing the fan alone or the whole cooler for one that is quieter even at speed. The other option is to use a dedicated fan controller to power the fan and leave the motherboard out of it totally.

Yes it is probably the easiest and cheapest option available to you.
