Hi there. I have a Gigabyte EP45-UDR3 board, E8400 processor, F12 bios OC'd to 3.61 stable for the last 3 years. Recently bought a WD External usb drive. When I reboot my pc with the drive plugged in (usb port on the board) my bios settings go back to default, it won't keep my OC settings. If its unplugged everything works fine. Anyone have an idea why this happens and if I can do anything to solve it or do I have to keep the external drive unplugged until I need it? Thanks.

Hi and welcome.
Nothing actually springs to mind as to what it is that's causing this problem. I would advise checking all your USB settings in the BIOS and check to see if there is anything that could be helpful in Device Manager. In the BIOS see if your Legacy USB Devices and Storage are set right.
