Hello everyone.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I recently built a system around a GA-P67A-UD3-B3 with i5 2300, 4 GB 1333 GHz RAM and some gear transplanted from my previous PC (X25-V, WD Blue 500 GB, Sapphire 5850 Xtreme, Seasonic S12 II 430W etc.). The system is fine, works well, all is stable and quick etc. I got the board with F4 bios and recently flashed to F5j.
However... there is one issue that bugs me A LOT. The mobo squeals when the PC is in idle (web surfing, Office software, v light work related usage) when all energy saving options are enable. This actually mainly applies to C3/C6 state being enabled. If this is disabled all if sine. EIST and C1E have no impact on squealing. Only when I enable C3/C6 the mobo's voltage regulation squeals. I confirmed this beyond doubt by putting the case on my desk, w/o sides etc., and listening very closely to the behavior. Actually the squealing can be heard even if the PC is inside the case (Antec P150) and under my desk, where it should be. This is a problem for me as my PC is my tool of work, is on almost 20 hrs/day and I need it to stay not only quiet, but also as power efficient as possible. I've used a power meter (aka Power Angel etc.) to confirm that the C3/C6 actually saves me about 5W. May not be much, but if you multiply that 20 hrs a day 6 days a week, then it becomes an issue.
I'd appreciate any advice on what to do now. I'd rather not RMA the board but if there's nothing else that can be done, I'll simply send it back to the shop. I have the warranty, the invoice, all documents.
Please help me on this one :)

Hi
This was a problem that gave many people a headache(literally) with a particular set of boards a while back but was cured by a BIOS update and on some a hardware fix on a few. It is coil whine. Try contacting GGTS for a fix if they have one.
