Title: P35DS4 updating AhcI,RAID and JMB
Post by: drake008 on August 06, 2011, 01:41:37 am
Is there a way to update all of these three roms in the bios to the latest installments?

So I far I just found the 11.0.0.1124.BiN file. Which could be the RAID Option from Intel.

The newest Option for the JMB is here ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Controller/Option_ROM/jmb363_1.07.28.zip

Just the AHCI is nowhere to be found.

Also how can I integrate them properly via cbrom in the p35ds4.f14 file.

Hi

They are all updateable obviously. The RAID and AHCI firmware is the same and probably the IRST file from Intel is the best for that.

So where to find this IRST file and how to integrate it into the Biosfile.

IRST is downloadable from the Intel website and it doesn't  need to be integrated into the BIOS just run.

So this is just the driver.

I asked for help to integrate a NEwEr Bios revision into the Bios so that the performance in AHCI mode is better when there is load on the hdds.

I have tested some new Options Rom with my GA-X58A-UD5 and not found many performance updated ( only some problems because the INTEL version 9 or 10 are big and i cannot use normall my HighPOint add-on cards )

For modify your BIOS you can use CBROM32 but

**  do not think you will win much apart from the risk of bricked upur motherbaord card with a bad BIOS **
