Just bought GA-H61m-usb3-b3 with core i3 CPU. I have 2 SATA HDs and 1 SATA cdrom. No matter what I do in bios I cannot get the PC to boot from the CDROM - so far I have had to make USB boot sticks to get things installed. The thing that is foxing me is that when I boot to the OS, win7, windows cannot read anything in the CDROM. Windows can see the CDROM but when I double click on it it ejects the disk and asks me to put something readable in the media. So .... the bios sees the CDROM but cannot boot from it and win7 sees the CDROM but cannot read it. It is a brand new machine - is there something in the bios I'm not doing? (Have tried the default settings - no difference). Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi and welcome.
I suspect the CD you are trying to use is a home written one. If this is the case it just wasn't written very well and needs writing on a slower speed. If I am wrong and it is a retail version of Windows then either the drive or the disk is faulty.
