Title: [Solved] GA-E7AUM-DS2H + Crucial M4 128GB SSD issues
Post by: egilsster on August 13, 2011, 07:31:59 pm
Hey there!
I'm trying to install my new Crucial M4 SSD but I'm having some problems doing so. Every time I try to boot from it (after installing Windows 7) I get this after the POST: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tko64jT39hE

I have the latest firmware of the BIOS - but I can't seem to update the firmware of the drive (wont boot from my USB drive with the ISO update file on it).
Everything works fine with a regular HDD, this is driving me nuts!

Any suggestions well taken, please help.

EDIT: Found out its running 0002 firmware.

EDIT2: Solved, no idea what did it, maybe it was some conflict between some drivers.

I would say your main problem is getting the system to boot from the USB pen drive. Sometimes the motherboard can be reluctant and you might need to try a different drive. Usually the smaller 2GB or less work best. Don't forget to format it with FAT too.

I can boot from it no problem, when I have say, an OS install on it.
The problem is that I cant boot from the drive and I get these white blinking lines when its plugged in after I turn it on. No idea what that is, need to get that away.
