Title: Marvell SATA Controller Driver?.....

Can anyone explain this driver and will it overwrite the AMD SATA AHCI Driver? I usually update drivers on a MB but sometimes updating gives less performance. (990fxa UD7)

Hi Nightrain,

The Marvell Driver is different to the AMD and will not overwrite it. But, saying that, you are probably better off leaving the older Microsoft AHCI driver installed as, when I have tested on teh GA-990FXA-UD5 I found it performed better thanboth the AMD and Marvell drivers.
