Title: Inserting a multi card reader to motherboard
Post by: pedcfc68 on August 18, 2011, 08:03:56 pm
I have a Gigabyte S-series GA-G41M-ES2H motherboard and a multicard reader that has 2 connectors, a single pin and a 3 pin. I have the MB manual and can't seem to find where these connectors go so any help would be grateful

Without knowing which card reader you have, and also not knowing what the reader's manual says about it....it's hard to answer.

UBB 2.0 internal mobo connectors have 4 pins, so it sounds like that's where it should go. Find out what the card reader's pins do, then check your board's USB header pin assignment (it's in the manual), and connect appropriately.
Low-cost asian-made devices are known for crappy manuals/info, so you may have to call them, and hope for english speaking tech.

Yes I agree totally with EyeDontKnow and would think they would attach to the internal USB header on the motherboard but would need to know the pin outs and what the cables are for to be of any help.

I had the same problem but installed it to the front usb port, refer to manual this helps.
