Have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 board and Windows XP Pro 64bit OS and have tried Windows 7 64bit...
both times it showed all 4Gb of ram.
Now after a bios update it shows only 3.99Gb out of 4Gb.....
Anyone have any idea why?

Hi there,
How much RAM is showing in BIOS?
You can check this either on the POST screen from a cold start (if you have disabled the Show Full Screen Logo) or by going to the BIOS home screen and pressing the F9 Key

At boot up it shows 4095 instead of 4096 of ram.
I even went back to an earlier bios but does not make any difference.
With my old motherboard and any 64bit OS it showed 4Gb in windows.
