Title: Processor Speed
Post by: Larkina on September 12, 2011, 03:46:59 pm
I have a Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz GO processor and I'm experiencing something that may be a problem. I'm not certain. My motherboard is a EP45-UD3P v1.6.
When noticing the core speed it's at 2396.9 MHz. even at 100% load. I've tried disabling EIST in the BIOS but it still stuck at 2396.9 when it should be at 2400 MHz. What would be the cause of this? This processor is about 2-3 years old and I might add and a good one. My VID is 1.2875. I no that it is seated correctly because since installing it I can recall seeing it hit the 2400 MHz range. Could it be that the processor is getting old? Thank you for any help in advance.

My processor temps is averaging around 28-37c quoted from Real Temp v3.60
