Hi,

You have a very fine compatibility list on your site. However, I want to buy all three parts from the same reseller. (CPU, MB & RAM) This reseller in sweden does not have any of the ram listed on your compatibility list.

I have however gotten a promise to exchange my memory modules if they should not be compatible. So no harm in trying.

Can anyone say if:
Corsair XMS3 Vengeance 12GB DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz (3x4GB) (CL9) (CMZ12GX3M2A1600C9)

Would be compatible with this card?

  you Should be more then fine .....enjoy the experience..........excellent customer service with your supplier you have there, keep your receipts and packaging just to be on the safe side

  As far as my list goes.......no such luck......this is purely a lowly  members forum.........All we get off Gigabyte is what we buy just like you :'(

I would agree with Allan and find the Gigabyte QVL very poor (they don't test very many modules really) that is why I always advise people to go to the memory manufacturer's website and check for compatibility with the motherboard on there. This is usually far more comprehensive and also kept up to date.

The Vengeance  memory is very good apart from it doesn't seem to overclock particularly well regardless of Corsair's  advertising and should run fine in your board.

Hello,

You could also Google for either "Reviews or comparative reviews G1.Sniper" and "Overclocking G1 Sniper" (use the exact part number designator for your motherboard in searches). You could also add your cpu to the search string if you wish: "Overclocking i7 2600K and GA-P67A-UD7-B3" to narrow search. The reviews and overclock articles, your searches provide to you, will detailed what RAM sticks were used, the overclocked reached as well as the timings and voltages used. This should provide you with a few proven RAM options to buy.

I have however decided to deviate somewhat from using these memories. It turns out they had a memory that was on gigabytes list.

I just bought a kit of the same memory sticks a couple of weeks ago and they are good RAM. They don't overclock as well as Corsair advertises they do but apart from that they are fine.
