Title: Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 - Memory Support Questions need answering.

Hello,

Contacted Gigabyte support from main site but they are very very slow at responding. Looked at the memory support list but could not see if these where on the list.


Can you tell me if the following memory are supported in this mobo:
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3

Memory:
2GB Mushkin Silverline #991768 DDR3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24
2GB Corsair Memory XMS3 DDR3 1333Mhz CAS 9

Of course ill be running only one brand, (Whichever one works) but will add another 2gb for 4gb overall.

Any help would be appreciated as I've been wanting to order my new rig for a few days .

 Either should be fine .... make sure you buy what you want as a kit and not willy-nilly single modules to be extra safe

 I have a X58R board that had the Silverline in for about 3 month and had no issues......and I was using 24GB ....(4 gb sticks)

  If you're interested......on price point....1600Mhz is the sweet spot.....bigger bang for buck that is......it'll probable equate to only 5-15% more

  And Corsair is top notch as well

I would agree too. They are both top quality memory modules and should work ok but I always recommend using the manfacturer's own QVL as they are much more all encompassing than Gigabyte's.  Allan makes a good point about the sweetpoint pricewise though and make sure that you purchase however much you intend to use finally as one matched kit. Otherwise you can get problems with compatibility between the modules.
