Title: Downclocking Phenom X4 9550 - voltage
Post by: fleycds on October 01, 2011, 02:38:43 pm
I use AMD Phenom X4 9550, Gigabyte MA770-UD3 rev 1.0 and Windows 7 Pro x64. The lowest clock of the CPU is 1.0 GHz at 5x multiplier, and the lowest stable voltage is 0.800V (defaults: clock 2,2 GHz @ 1,25V, multiplier 11x).

I set those settings in BIOS. The issue is, when I put my PC into Win7 sleep mode, after waking it up, voltage is set back to 1.25V. Why is this happening?
Btw I got EasyTune6 installed but I don't use it (I just need it installed cos  Easy Energy Saver requires it). And ofc EasyEnergySaver doesn't work when using manual multiplier/voltage in BIOS, so it's disabled too. Just FYI.

Hi

I would suggest that you uninstall all of the bundled software that you have on your machine as it can often cause problems and so if you are not even using it anyway it might as well go.

Hello again.

Well, I restored auto multiplier/voltage settings in BIOS. Now I want to change those settings on the fly without entering setup. I'm gonna do this by using  PhenomMrsTweaker and changing power profiles.  I uninstalled ET6/ EES as this custom tool do a better job.
