Hi Guys. newbie here looking for some help.
ok, so i have 2 data HDD on Marvell Sata3 in Raid 1.
i have the OS on SSD on Intel Sata3.
I have a small SSD on Intel Sata3 to use for RST for use with teh 2 HDD Data drives, but i can't get the RST to work. Right now when i run the RST it shoes the small SSD but does not show the accelerate button. if i change the Intel controller (with teh 2 SSD on it) to RAID i get BSOD and no boot to windows.
Please don't tell me there were silly enough to not allow me to use the Intel Sata3 for SSD RST drive becaue the drives it is caching are on the MarveL? i don't need RST for the OS because that is already an SSD.
was this clear?
thx for the help !

Hmm, I haven't tried this myself, but unfortunately I think this is an Intel-only solution (Intel Smart Response Technology), i.e not working across controllers as I understand you want it to.
Here's the official guide to setting up ISRT http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_smart-response_e.pdf (http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_smart-response_e.pdf)
And check out this page if you haven't already (especially the video at the bottom): http://www.gigabyte.eu/MicroSite/282/ez-smart-response.html (http://www.gigabyte.eu/MicroSite/282/ez-smart-response.html)
Keep in mind this solution is a poor man's budget SSD solution and I'd be very surprised if it can work in the more advanced manner you're trying to set it up to do :) Just my 2c. Happy reading and good luck!
