Hi,
I bought the GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 rev 1.0 MB back in May 2011 and it was running fine till now.
There is a small issue with the MB where the USB ports stop working after a restart but that is a minor issue.
I keep my PC on 24x7 and till yesterday evening everything was working fine. But today morning when I switch on the monitor, all I could see was blank screen.
To test whether Window had frozen I pressed the power button on the case and Windows did shutdown gracefully. When I rebooted the machine there was still no display. I removed all the components including the memory and still it was the same. I tried different cables, different monitors but it's the same.
I then reset the bios and restarted the machine and just once for a few seconds I could see the start up banner and there still the blank screen.
Any ideas?
ps: before this issue started I had upgraded to the F9 bios and then rolled back to the F8 bios because the F9 bios did break a few things including my RAID 1 setup.

Hi
I think it might a faulty graphics card or graphics card slot. Have you reseated the card ?
Is it in the PCIEx16_1 slot ?
Have you got the extra power cables connected to the card ?

I tried both the onboard graphics as well as 3 different cards and also tried the x8 slot but still the same.... :-(

Well from the sounds of things it is unlikely to be the motherboard or the graphics card then. We can also probably rule out the CPU also.
What BIOS are you running at the moment ?
Have you upgraded it recently ?
It might be worth flashing the ain BIOS with the Backup BIOS files in case of corruption. Follow these instruction exactly. It might take a few tries as it is al a matter of timing but just persevere until it works.
You can kick in the backup BIOS by shutting down the PSU from the wall, then hold down your case power button in and then turn on the power supply button, a few seconds later the board will start, shut off the power supply then. Then you can turn on the power supply again and power up the board normally and DualBIOS will kick in.

Some update.
Yesterday I switched the HDMI port on my monitor and I could get a display.
I followed the bios recovery procedure and tried the latest F9 firmware which is a big NO GO... Gigabyte should pull down that firmware as it DOESN'T work..
I then rolled back to the F8 firmware which I have been using till now and now my machine boots and with 15 seconds of Windows loading, restarts again and this goes in a endless loop...
Currently I have just connected the SSD and nothing else.
