Hi,
I cannot seem to find anywhere that notes if this MB can support 3TB hard drives. I have this MB and I'm very interested in getting a 3TB drive but hate to buy and find out it won't work. Can anyone confirm and if so where you got the confirmation?
If so, what do I need to ensure it works? Thank you.

Hi,
I don't think your MB supports hard drives of this size as there is no information to be found on the page concerning your motherboard unlike more recent MB's. See here:

You could also contact Gigabyte Technical Support and ask the same question of which can be found here:

I hope this helps

Besides it shouldn't be a problem any more..........with the prices of all hard drives going through the roof you will be lucky to be able to afford a 250GB one!! :o

Hopefully by now, you have an answer to your question but just in case you don't, I have the same system board as you and I recently installed the Hitachi Deskstar 3.5 Inch 3 TB CoolSpin SATA 6Gb/s Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit 0S03228 from Amazon and it works great. I was fortunate enough to get it before HD prices started going back up. I believe I got it from Amazon for $120 which was pretty amazing considering Frys locally had it for $159.
Anyway, put it in, formatted it (which ran all night) and it came right up and have been using ever since. I am running Win 7x64 so don't believe you'll have any issues.
Good luck!
Rick
