Title: GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD5 rev. 3.1
Post by: Ramskull666 on November 05, 2011, 04:30:43 pm
I live in the U.K., and i'd like to ask when the GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD5 rev. 3.1 board will be available here. I've searched high and low for it, but found nothing? Can anybody help please?

Thanks,

Stu.

Hi Stu,

I think you may have answered your own question, however why not contact Gigabyte Support and / or pm runn3R  and ask the same question.

Gigabyte Support: http://uk.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/support-downloads.aspx

It may take a while for them to get back to you but they will.

runn3R works for Gigabyte and again I'm sure will help you, so why not send him a pm.

I hope this helps

Hi Stu

There is very low chance that we will ever have this revision of motherboard in the UK. It has been replaced by the 990FXA-UD5.

Same here in the states once the new boards come out they sell out of the old ones and dont offer them anymore. The 990 would be a better choice anyway only difference is no ide connectors anymore which is why i am keeping my old 890-ud5

If IDE is important to you you can always get an addon card for that option.

No IDE cards work that great. Now if bulldozier would of been better i would of moved on but since it kinda flopped im still waiting. In all honesty will prolly go intel next time its been 6 to 7 years since i used one so ought to be fun.
