Hello
A friend of mine upgraded the graphic card, he got now Nvidia GT 220.
PC specs : Gigabyte GA-945GZM-S2 / 2 Western Digital 160 GB each - sata / CPU Intel Pentium D 3.00 GHz / PSU Deluxe 600 W / DVD RW ( not sure if IDE or SATA ) 2 GB DDR2 /
After he put the new graphic card, the BIOS is loading very very slow, but the OS is runing okay.
He installed the latest driver for the new videocard.
Can you give me some tips, please ? We tried with VGA-VGA cable, and DVI-DVI, but still the same.
The monitor is Benq G2420HD, new as well.
Any advices are welcome, thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% certain, but maybe turning off the IGP in BIOS may help
(IGP = onboard graphics)

Hi
The first thing I would do is to remove the GPU and see if it still takes a long time to boot/POST. (I am not sure exactly what you meant by taking a long time for the BIOS to load).

Ich bin in Deutschland geboren, in Hannover! :)

Danke sehr

Hello,
I have the same problem. I Have a PC with GA-945GZM S2 on it and I've just got a Point of View GF 220GT 512mb DD3 Graphic card. When I insert the 220 GT card into the PCI exp slot and boot up I see the white text on black screen (memory test, hard drives info, etc) comming letter by letter (almost like typing). Could you please specify if the graphic card is not suitable for the MB. Also I don't know the card rev. but I know it has the F2 Bios version.
Thank you!
