Title: UD5 versus UD7 ? whats the diff ?
Post by: scjet on November 11, 2011, 03:08:00 am
GA-X58A-UD5  versus GA-X58A-UD7 ?

 I'm sorry if I coudln't find where there's a good comparison, on this forum, but here goes 3 Questions:

1,/ Size: ? is there a size (physical-dimension) difference between the ud5 and ud7 ? can anyone confirm ?
(if the ud7 is "E-ATX, then I'll have to go with ud5).

2./ I can't find any other differences except maybe that the heatsink on the UD7 is slighter lower that the UD5, behinf the PCIE-X1 slots,  thus allowing for freer install of 2 PCIE-X1 cards ?   can anyone confirm this?.

3./ Talking about heatsink(s), does the ud7 offer any real advantage cooling-wise over the ud5 ?

 Here's what I'm gonna run:
 -> Intel 980X cpu
 -> Nvdia 470 GTX Vid card ( and NOT SLI, I'm just using one card, for now )
 -> 24 Gigs (fully-populated) G.Skill Ripjaws look like a good deal these days.

Thanks ahead. :)
