Title: Problem with 880A-UD3 Rev 2.1 + Fx-6100 =(

hi everyone, i've got a Gigabyte 880A-UD3 rev 2.1 motherboard and i buy today a new amd fx.6100 procesor but it is incompatible whit my motherboard, and i check my bios version and its f5 but there isn't any update for my motherboard. any idea?

Hi there,

sorry but from the information you have posted I can't find your motherboard. Could you post back with the full model number (for example GA-880GA-UD3H) so we know exactly which board you have.

There are a lot of motherboards still available that do not support the FX processors and if this is the case in your situation then all you can do is change motherboards or the CPU.  :'(

It is always worth double checking the CPU support list for your motherboard before buying a new processor as it can help to avoid confusion and this is something I always do when putting a new system together prior to spending any money.

I would have to agree there absic. Far too many people just buy a load of components and expect them to all work together happily. A bit of investigation first can save an awful lot of headaches and wasted time and money. :-\

880GA-UD3H  REV2.1 does not support the new FX processors you need board revision 3.1 to support fx.
your board will support phenom II X6 at best.
